Sonata in F, Op. 2, Nr. 4
Adagio / Presto / Adagio / Allegro
The content of the Mocenigo-Sanguinazzi-Obizzi-Habsburg music collection from the first half of the 18th century is limited to the period from around 1680 to 1727, locally mainly to Venice and its surroundings. The manuscripts of the Anonymous Sonatas are from two different writers, one of whom is the so-called dilettante Nicolò Sanguinazzi. The Anonymous Works, which can be found under the signature EM. 72 in the Estensische Musikalien are complemented by Vivaldi’s works, which are also in the same collection. The Anonymous Works will be re-performed in this concert after 300 years. The violinist is accompanied by an amazing Czech harpsichordist and a top baroque cellist, who work with the most outstanding ensembles in their home country. In the concert, humorous notes of a Hungarian or Dacian Simplicissimus from 1683 are read between the pieces, which thrillingly reflect the spirit of baroque Vienna. During the break we welcome the audience with wine and bread.
